World of Warcraft is available now for PC. The next World of Warcraft expansion may be its most important release yet. With two divisive eras preceding it, it is no exaggeration to say all eyes are on Dragonflight as it nears launch. While it may not go down as the least-popular expansion for all World of Warcraft players, few are mourning the new era as much as they did other popular expansions like Wrath of the Lich King or Legion. Though Shadowlands brought many valuable things to World of Warcraft, it was unpopular among many fans. Likewise, the upcoming Primal Storms event has catch-up gear to make sure players have serviceable equipment as they explore the Dragon Isles. This 50% experience boost will help players quickly prepare for Dragonflight. World of Warcraft players can benefit from the Winds of Wisdom buff until phase two of the Dragonflight Pre-Patch, after which experience gains are being permanently changed to make leveling faster. There is no better time to get into World of Warcraft than a Pre-Patch cycle. The second phase of the Dragonflight Pre-Patch, which adds the Dracthyr Evoker, Primal Storms world event, and the new Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr event, begins on November 15, two weeks before the expansion’s full launch on November 28. Players can also make Mage, Rogue, and Priest characters of any playable race. The first phase of the Pre-Patch adds the new Talent Trees to World of Warcraft, as well as its sleek new UI and accessibility options. Though the Shadowlands era is officially over, Dragonflight is not out yet. Players must still upgrade to Dragonflight if they wish to reach level 70, explore the Dragon Isles, or play a Dracthyr Evoker once the expansion fully releases.
This means Shadowlands has been added to the base subscription of World of Warcraft. The Dragonflight Pre-Patch began on October 25, officially bringing an end to the Shadowlands era of World of Warcraft. From there, players can continue to play simply by subscribing. Players interested in starting World of Warcraft can access its free trial up to level 20. With the start of Dragonflight, World of Warcraft players can now experience all of Shadowlands simply by subscribing to the game. World of Warcraft is entering the era of Dragonflight, meaning Shadowlands has joined the growing list of expansions included in the basic monthly subscription.
